Frequently asked questions

How does a visitor receive a shared key or access code?

A visitor can receive a shared key via text or email from the Homebase app with an embedded link to launch the login experience. All the visitor needs is the unique 6-digit code shared by a staff member or resident to gain access to your community.

What happens at the scheduled end time of my access code?

At the end of your scheduled access time, all configured doors are deactivated from your shared key and you are logged out of the Homebase app.

How are the 6-digit codes created?

All codes are auto-generated to ensure security standards for your community. A unique code is assigned every time a new visitor access shared key is created.
