Smart Affordable Housing

Smart technology is not just a luxury apartment amenity, it’s a tool that can help improve the way we live. Homebase was founded with the goal to make the multifamily living experience better and more connected – for everyone. We’re proud to partner with the City of Kansas City, Missouri for the 2018 Innovation Partnership Program. Over the next three months, we’ll be working with the City’s Innovation Office and the Department of Housing Services to develop a solution for smart affordable housing that helps bridge the digital divide.

Through wifi connectivity, a smart device package and a connected building automation platform, property owners and managers of affordable housing can lower their costs, operate with greater efficiency and provide a connected living experience for residents. In today’s digitally-driven world, we believe the standard of living should include more than four walls and roof. Through the program, we hope to identify new ways in which we can create a measurable impact to bridge the digital divide and help all multifamily communities get the most out their living experience.
